Yup! I'm Back! After all that time!

I know I shudda been back ages ago, but one thing led to more things and its like ages since my last post in… Mar 08!  haha… and that was when I was … again… in Honolulu!

Hmmm… brought back great memories - spending like one month there for an interesting programme for which I shouldn’t be blogging about.  Nevertheless, was an enlightening experience altogether…

After that month and couple months later, had opportunity to travel to Las Vegas, the sin and entertainment city, then onto Florida and to Japan’s  (cos got bumped off flight!)

Grandcanyon001.jpgWas a while since I was in Vegas, and there have been changes… new buildings and hotels that came up along the strip and off.  Trump Tower with its glimmering gold frontage was obvious from the air. Nope, didn’t gamble at the casinos although did walk through several! They were also in the midst of building the largest shopping complex - can’t remember the name - but it looked to be mega-huge!

Managed to also do a day-tour of the Grand Canyon and walked along the Skywalk.  Interesting as the attraction was all about walking on an extension with glass floors where you can view the bottom of the canyon! A little unsettling, but you get used to it!

After 3 days in Vegas, flew off to Florida for Disney’s Epcot Centre and Disney’s Animal Kingdom as well as Universal Studios. Almost bought into a time-share thingy, but managed to get out before leaving the state. At Disney World, managed to catch Tony Orlando at the world stage… was a great performance!

Back to the present… life’s been pretty busy working 10 to 12 sometimes 14 hour days! OMG… and you think that after you’re at a certain seniority things would be easier… think again!  Responsibilities increase and scope widens, meetings and more meetings to attend…  Well, I guess that’s part and parcel of being employed… or perhaps being self-employed may be worse…. i’ll probably find out soon, I guess!  ;-)

Meanwhile, I’ll enjoy my work and d my best at what I’m supposed to do…
