The Science of Influence!
Is it really an Art? Or is Influencing actually a Science? Or is it both?
It’s viral… or is it?
You can run from it but you cannot hide! Hmm… so cliche right?
You have been working on this eversince you can remember but you never realise…
When you’re at home; when you’re at work, when you’re with friends; when you’re sitting infront of a panel interviewing you for a job, when you’re sitting opposite your boss who’s giving you a performance review…
It just overwhelms when you come to realise that your whole life, you try to influence or are being influenced!
Just think about it:
Ever since you were a baby and through every stage of your life, you have been applying influence on those that happen to come into contact with you, or you have been influenced in one way or some other. As a baby, you cause adults and grandparents to behave like babies babbling coochie coos and gurgles… and when you respond, you create within these significant people a gush of overpowering feelings - a big smile break out on their aged wrinkled faces… and they want to do it over and over again just so to get that rush of ecstatic happy feel.
When you were a toddler, you studied your parents and loved ones, and you effortlessly influence them to buy you that ice-cream, that toy, and almost every of your heart desires… just by giving them THAT longing desirous loving cute-as-dandy look…
When you were in school, there was this teacher, could have been a guy, or a lady. Somehow you became mesmerised by that teacher. You hang onto every word that is uttered; you long for the lessons to last forever; you seek every opportunity to go up to the teacher to ask a question no matter how silly it may seem, just so that you can be close enough - that teacher had an impactful influence on you.
When you are older, and falling in love; you magically have (or perhaps are having right now!) influence over that gal or that guy - you are THE ONE! Or maybe you were (or are being) influenced by that gal or that guy… it’s like you were so prepared to cross the widest oceans, climb the highest mountains, walk through the raging flames, just to get to and be with the love of your life…
You don’t understand it, but you love the feeling and influence that the love of your life have over you.
That’s influence - in your growing up years, your personal private life, your work life.
You will come to realise that throughout your life - you would have to influence those you come into contact with, to convince them.
Influence, you can’t live without it.
So isn’t it a wise thing to do, to master the Art of Influence? So you ask how can you do it - mastering the art of influence. It is not all that difficult, though it may be tedious.
Influence is also a science - there is a certain way - that you can follow to create and develop yourself to be a person who is able to influence others in almost every situation. It is only after you have learnt the science of influence, that you can thereafter apply it to your life encounters and master -
